Facts and opinion....

You're gonna get both here, as well as some things I find amusing and annoying.
Sorry, that's the mission.

Love the passion. Remember, Greg and I have an unusual situation here:

We're the only paper in the New York metro area covering both the Isles and Rangers full-time and the crossover readership/fan base spills onto the blogs from local and far-flung locales.

But you probably know all that.

Again, we appreciate the readers and expect some give-and-take.

Just keep it above board. We're big boys and we can handle some shots, as long as they're presented with some sense of class and not from the sludge at the bottom of the genetic pool.

Deep breaths.

The season hasn't even begun...

Well put Steve but, as it's easy to see it's going to fall on deaf ears.

Rag Contraction,
Take a look at how many Rangers fans come off Long Island and your statement holds no weight at all. Take a train ride on the Ronkonkoma line at 4:15 the day of the game at a Garden. Hop the train back after the game too.

It has to do with ratings and readership. The ratings for Ranger games are more than 2x that of the Devils. And Devils games garner a higher share than Islanders games. Also, there are much more Ranger fans on Long Island (Nassau/Suffolk) than Islanders fans. Hence, full-time coverage is more than warranted in Newsday

WOE! WOE! WOE!

Dan please slow it down for the special needs kid above named RAG CONTRACTION.

You can't hit him all at once with facts, ratings and shares.

Just say something like,
"NO STUPID! THERE IS ALOT OF RANGERS FANS ON LONG ISLAND!"

Keep it simple so he can comprehend.

Thanks,

funny. that comment about Newsday coverage was not me. It might have been an imposter but he sounded too intelligent to be. Either way I agree with his comment. Secial Ed Teacher, you spelled "Woah" Rong.
