With family gathered around him, Leetch, holding son Sean, is watching the banner being hoisted, stopping halfway, then continuing, as flashbulbs pop...
Sam Rosen summed it up: "You will live in our hearts and Madison Square Garden forever," then echoing his call of the Cup clincher..."this one will last a lifetime."

anybody else get the impression that Michelletti hates Rangers and Sam Rosen?
I didn't mean to take the discussion from tonights game and ceremonies but I had to write the stuff down before I forgot it...

Dang straight Dan. I wish Dolan had hired him as the GM.

Michelletti is a bumb. i cannot stand listening to that guy. hes an idiot and knows nothing about the Rangers. the one defining moment that made me passionatly dislike him (which is quickly turning into hate) is when during the preseason isles rangers game, he hadnt spoke for 10 seconds which is a lifetime to him so to say something he stated that prucha came into training camp 16 oz heavier then last season and that made a difference on his game. sam said to him joe thats a bottle of water and joe was dumbfounded.
so here to you joe michalletti hoping that you get transferred to covering the PGA tour and stop my ears from bleeding
oh funny is this...

Malik to Chicago?(e3) Making room for Blake?
"Rumours are swirling...stay tuned and I will be in the chat room. Reporting live from the Flyers Game. On rumour is that this could be a cap move to make room for Rob Blake."
here's one,
St. Louis will be trading a defensmen to a team looking for defensmen. More later after I spank my kids and call my wife names.
thanks comcast and the NHL Centre Ice package for blacking out the entire ceremony and game up in the hartford area. just totally unbelievable.
I doubt we will ever see another player like Leetch again. It truly was a pleasure to watch him play here in NY throughout most of his career.
ron, they blacked out the cermony on Comcast? Holy #$#%! I would've lost my mind. Sorry man. I also have the NHL Center Ice package down in FLA and Cox Cable actually(and really it was a miracle) had the entire ceremony and pregame stuff.
Either way it was great to see Leetch at the Garden again and I can't wait to see Gravey get the same reception. I consider myself very lucky to have been watching the Blueshirts when Mess, Richter, Leetch and Graves hit the ice together. Wow. Just an amazing era of New York hockey.
So now on to the current team... blah. They played well the past two games. Yeah, great. And at least Sam and Joe did mention the Malik scratch as if it were a sign of him being moved, so perhaps we will all get lucky on that one.
I just can't see Sather not making any moves at this point. I just hope he doesn't do anything stupid and send away any of the young kids playing on the team right now.
Let's Go Rangers!
Funny how Sather's name was not mentioned at all. I wonder if it was at the request of Leetch or maybe Sather. I was looking forward to hearing him get blasted. Oh well. The boos for Dolan were nice. Great ceremony. Great to see Domi and Langdon involved too. Graves deserves it too. I guess the Rangers saved Renney's job for now. Kuddos for Malik sticking it to him. Supposedly he would'nt shake Renneys hand after the game the other night and some players got in his face so he's out. It's the only respectable thing he's done since the penalty shot goal. Hope we get something for him.
Dan, what section were you sitting in?
Whats going on with Malik

Only respectable thing? Kudos?
Are you kidding?
People want to come in here and blast Renney and fire him then you hear that a player who has been crying and dividing this locker room for quite a while now snubs the coach and that is admirable? Come one man...
Good for Gomez if it was him that stepped up. That's worth a Kudos! Good for Renney for packing his sh!t thats worth a Kudos! Good for Sather for obviously backing it! Kudos!
Good to see that a future leader of this team admires Renney, what he doe and sticks up for him. Like 99% of this locker room does thats ADMIRABLE. That gets KUDOS!
To sit here and complain about this team, then find out a piece of whats wrong with it and give Kudos to a schmuck like Malik. Got to love New York Sports fans...
Great post Up in the Blues, totally agree
Another Century Mark
Bryan Leitch is nearing the 100 part mark. With an assist against Holy Cross on Saturday night, Leitch now has 98 points for his career in 101 games played. Leitch has totaled 34 goals and 64 assists. Linemates Ben Nelson and Jamie Bates broke the 100 point mark earlier this season.
draft him rangers ! from quinnipiac university
I was near the frat boys for the Pack game.
Lately, someone has been defending 68 on this blog that kind of sounds like he knows what he's talking about. Zip do we have a player, players wife, coach, or coach's wife in our midst? I still say all the extra support he's been giving to the other players is great and all, but feel he still aint doing his job completely. He should be on pace for way more than 70 points, and if he was on pace for what he was capable of, NYR would be sitting on top of the division, possibly the conference.
So we think Malik is the source of the split locker room? If he is dump his @$$. It will be interesting to see what happens, and if Montoya is a bargaining chip I would guess he would have played the other night here in Albany. Gotta showcase his skills if you're going to use him. Two more games until the AHL break. I think I read tonight and tomorrow night the Pack play. I guess we will see if he plays. Wiikman was pretty good, so it might be possible he is actually the chip. IMHO he played well the other night but probably still needs development but maybe a decent trading chip because he's cheap compared to Al...AND they NEED TO GET A DEAL DONE WITH HANK IF THEY ARE GOING TO TRADE AL.
Hey "Up in the blues" next time why don't you state your opinion without critiquing mine. Some valid points about the team would be more interesting than what you think of what I think. By the tone of your comments I can see you think you're an authority on being a sports fan. You're not!
I did state my opinion, it's that you are crazy!
Valid points, I made one and ask anyone that is around the team what it is. This team is 100% behind Tom Renney. Malik wasn't and that is why he is now looking for work. (Well Sather is looking for him)
This is a discussion board if you can't take replies maybe you shouldn't write.
I am no authority but, when I read completely ignorant comments like yours I'll post when i I feel like it.
It's a good thing you always use the name Kocur when writing on Blogs and emailing Stan and Al. Yea, I heard your question that night on MSG. Good to see that Stan told you that you couldn't be anymore wrong either. I know it was you too! Your email was the same nonsense you continuously post here.
