Jagr: I'm still going to play---somewhere

In the wake of the 3-2 overtime loss in Pittsburgh that ended the Rangers season, Jaromir Jagr said the game would not be his last after 17 years in the NHL.

"I don't think I'm going to retire from hockey, I'm going to play somewhere, I don't know where," said the 36-year-old superstar, and said he would take some time to discuss his future with his family and friends. "I don't want to make any decisions 30 minutes after we lost the hockey game."

Jagr, an unrestricted free agent, could possibly return to the Rangers, sign with a team that plays a more up-temp offense, which he favors, (Carolina, Detroit) or play in Russia or back home in the Czech Republic.

"The year before, I knew what was going to happen. This year, it's going to happen wherever I want it to happen. Whatever's gonna make me happy, that's what I'm going to do. But it's going to take time, I have to talk to my dad, my friends, they look at it differently than I do, I'm sure they're gonna give me good advice on what I should do."

the only thing we want to hear about now is how Drury's high stick was a double minor and Malone's high stick was no penalty.

someone please explain it

The Refs suck, and every coach besides Renney knows that you have to yet and whine to them personally for calls to go your way. Thank Renney for not doing anything about the bad reffing.

Rangers fans.... so, to make sure I've got this right, you lost a seven game series 1-4 because of a high sticking "no call" in game 5?

Wow... and I thought Philly fans were the biggest crybabies in the league.

Great Season.

Bob,

You're insane. Jagr with a B+ and Lundqvist with a C+.

Lundqvist keep the Rangers in this series, and jagr was the "glue" which held the team together in the most challenging moments. He left everything on the ice.

This is coming from a Pens fan that doesn't care much for Jagr,

can we get more d next yr and then we can use the offensive talent that we have

Lundqvist could have been a lot better. He was even worse than his stats show because many times the Penguins came in within an inch of scoring and he was saved by luck or by defenseman.

Jagr ruins our PP with his cycling, he takes a lot of bad penalties and refuses to hit. Malkin and Crosby hit, why Straka, Jagr and Shanahan don't?

remember when you guys made fun of the islanders for complaining about the refs in their series with buffalo last year?

I love Korpikoski, but bob's true hockey intelligence shows through when he gets the highest playoff grade on bob's moronic team report card.

Korpikoski's goal now gives the Rangers 5 rookie goal scorers in these playoffs.

Future is bright, unfortunately, we may have 15 years of biased officiating pro Crosby's team to look forward to.

We need to break apart this "dwarf patrol" team and get a coach who is not a mental midget. We need to seriously add size, especially the forwards. And I don't mean players with size that never use it or those that can barely skate.

To all Lundqvist lovers, who gave up 6 goals to Canadiens when up 5-0? Who gave up 5 goals to Gaborik? Overrated.

Slick Willy...Great Season ???? What season did you watch ?? You spent 55 million on offense and were pathetic other than Jagr.
Your team was picked to go to the cup and got smoked in the second round.

This team was built for a cup run.

Complete failure and now they are going to lose their best players.

Enjoy the Demise Jim from Woodbury you loser!

Puhleeeezeee!!! Stop embarrassing yourselves. Especially after ragging on the Islanders. At least we knew they stunk.

I looked quickly at the UFA list looking for a forward who can score, has size and plays physical and is not too old. And I only came up with Ruslan Fedotenko, Ryan Malone and Pasqual Dupuis. Marian Hossa and Rolston are not very physical and Rorlston is getting old. Ryder and Langkow are not very big. So maybe better to make a trade.

What we can trade: Hollweg, Bourret, Betts, Backman, Prucha, Pock, Sjostrom, and maybe Tyutin and Dawes.

If Jagr is back, the Rangers do not have to make any major moves with the esception of bringing in a quality, veteran d-man. I like where there team is. There is an excellent mix of vets and youngsters. Half the lineup is 25 and younger. 6 rookies dressed today. I think Shanny is gone... even if he wants to come back. We have the youth to replace him. I love what I saw from Korpikoski. I see him as a terrific third line speedster, fireplug type. Cherapanov could be on the team next year, but that is to be seen. Sangunetti will probably need a year in the minors, but he's our powerplay specialist we desperately need. 5 on 5, this is was a very good team.

I'm amazed at how far the Rangers went with two rooks, Tyutin and Rosey as the top 4 on defense. The future certaintly is bright.

Daily News calls The Rangers "Beasts of The East" 9/30/07

Ranger fans brag and boast to Islander fans that the cup is "already theirs"

Lose to the Pens in the second round (4 -1)

PRICELESS.

Officiating appalling; nonetheless, we need a quarterbacking D. Not getting anywhere without one.
I want Jags back. I want his heart, soul, and big-ass effort.
I lust after Shanny (I'm a 3/4 Irish girl, and love his looks, articulateness, and spirit), but his day may be done. I hope not. I think that Renney's statement of Shanahan's being under the weather earlier might have concealed the sort of injury that you don't reveal during the playoffs. I think he's got another year in him.

For those of you who watched the series, we lost because the refs missed many calls. Rangers were the better team but the refs had it out for Avery and the rest of us because the cup was supposed to be ours.

My husband, the King, still can't hack it in the playoffs.

Throwin money at Drury, Gomez, and Shanny really worked well. At least last season we made it back home for game 6.

This team has maxed out and should be disbanded.

Sad day in Rangers Country.

And of course we need a top notch big, physical defensive defenseman. We already got rookie Sauer who is 6'4" and should fit that role. And another one from free agency either Orpik or Commodore.

What is the deal with Vaananen? Does he suck?

Quick impressions:

Shoot Roszival and Marshmalik.

Listen to Messier – exile Renney.

Hand Straka golf clubs, brochures on tropical golf for the fall.

Shanny – did someone say you can’t have a player-coach? Figured if he say 20 or 30 and no PK, he might still have a little – at a low salary.

..and maybe, just maybe, this macho sport may have room for a Ranger named Laurie next year?

Ditch Hollweg. Desire is good. Talent is better.

And the Betts and Orrs can compete for slots.

Jagr at a good price is worth returning. Valley could cash in a few bucks. OK by me.

The Dawes, Callahans, Dubinsky, Staal, Girardis are the future. Tyutin MAY be. I’m not as sure any more.

Great effort in this final game. Pick up Oprik and Hossa and if Brian Campbell is available and he can fit under the cap, grab him.

No gain this season, damn shame.

Insults from Islanders fans and inbred trolls who root for the Pens are as meaningful as a lecture on oral hygine frm Linda Lovelace.

Insults from Islanders fans and inbred trolls who root for the Pens are as meaningful as a lecture on oral hygine frm Linda Lovelace.

The Rag$ might not have made it out of the first round if not for Brodeur's weak goaltending and the Devils inability to score the clutch goal. The difference in round 2 was that Fleury made some saves & the Pens have some finishers.

Perhaps the Rag$ young players scored because opposition focused on the veterans?

It was nice to see Queen Henrietta crying after the game and hearing Dave Maloney say on the post game that if not for the Queen, the series would have been over in three. (He was trying to be funny.) Today's game should've been over early if not for the Pens' missing numerous awesome scoring chances.

Anyway, Laurie Corp is now the future based on scoring a goal on a shot deflected in off a defender's stick. If I had a nickel for every Rag$ can't miss prospect.

Now that Larry Brooks has nothing to write about maybe someone will break the story that Avery had a relationship with Roger Clemens or Isiah Thomas.

Hey BNG: Isn't there a Philly Flyers board you should be infesting now?

There is a Coastal Flood watch in effect if you live within proximity to a Crying Rag fan.

With the combination of Rags putrid play and officials being blamed for the Rags loss has made driving through streets near a Rag fan very hazardous. Please. Do not drive through standing water. Stay away from low lying areas within crying range of a Rag fan.

Bottom line this season was a disappointment. After predictions of making the finals they inly only get to game 5 in second round after getting to game 6 in the second round last year.

Refs sucked but in the end it made no difference as Rangers were solidly outplayed in this series. Pens in 5 is about right.

Priority #1 for next year power play, power play power play and a physical deferencemen

Unnecessarily struggling to make the playoffs the last two seasons at the end took its toll.

Shanny and Drury and Gomez.were gassed. The first two had disappointing seasons overall and beating the Devils was Gomez's cup.

Speaking of beating the Devils the unexpected relative ease in doing so lead to overcockiness. Down 3-0 and saying we know we are going to win series. WTF!!! On second thought this was a team that just thought the can turn it on at will. Jagr told you this.

Memo to MSG Network: For these post game shows why is Sam and Joe there all season but not there for the games that really count?

After a pretty decent post lockout period the future is worrisome. My gut feeling is that Jagr and Avery won't be back. Lundqvist while top 5 goaltender who played more then very well has yet to demonstrate he can steal games all by himself a must attribute for a Stanley Cup winner. I am not giving up on him he is still very young and it might happen but the worrisome part this might be what he is..

why do people spell rag$ with the dollar sign at the end. theres a salary cap in the league now so we cant spend more money than the other teams.

Matt,

Same reason why it will be "1940 Forever." The Rag$ bought the Cup in 1994 and despite the $$$, they barely won.

Prucha and Betts for Jarret Stoll

Pock and Hollweg for Joel Lundqvist

Backman and Bourret for Maxim Lapierre

Matt.

$alary Cap or not. Rag$ $pend a$ clo$e to the cap a$ they po$$ibly can every $eason. They are cap bu$ters. Not that there i$ anything wrong with that. The point i$, they don't win no matter what they $pend. They don't $pend wi$ely.

A truely good front office can win u$ing 2/3 to 3/4 of the cap $pace. Then have that extra to make a move for a big time player at the deadline.

The blessing in disguise in hte Rangers loss is that I do not have to come here anymore and get dribble from people like Bob and the brain dead Isles fans who have no season or team to root for. The Pens bloggers will move on never to be heard from again and now the off season can come with some plans for adding a Power forward and Druruy recruiting Campbell for the blueline. Those two additions along with the young talent that has come along make this team well suited for the coming years. Best wishes to Philly who will need to kill about 7 penalties per game in the next series. If you think the Rangers were whistled alot, just wait until the Flyers show up. PP is the death of this team's season and it has been the problem all season long. The major deference in the series was the lack of PP production, very simple. It had nothing to do with talent as the Rangers were the better team 5 on 5 the entire series, but that does nothing for you if you don't capitalize on the PP.

Ranjerks eliminated in the playoffs=GREAT
Henrietta crying after the OT goal=HEAVEN
Shanahan kissing Henrietta's helmet=PRICELESS!!!!!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

As a PS, when playing at Pitts on that ice, talent is not a factor. There is no way for talent ot show when the puck is bouncing like a jumping bean. If its not bouncing its sticking, amazing for Betmman in his need for the NHL to be so admired and have an arena this old with ice that bad. If this is where they play for the Cup this season, expect games in Pitt to be determined by luck.

PPS for those Isels fans who haven't figured it out yet it is better to make the playoffs and be eliminated, then not to make the playoffs at all, just a thought

MSL and Salary Cap,

5 teams spent less money than the isles, which im assuming ur a fan of, 3 of which made the playoffs. So u could say the money thing all u want before the lockout, but now its just dumb. 1/3 of the league had approximately the same cap level. do u even know what ur talking about?

Playoff grades:

Lundqvist: A+
Jagr: A
Drury: B+ (for his PK)

Everyone else can DIAF.

"Shanahan kissing Henrietta's helmet=PRICELESS!!!!!"

I agree, that was hillarious, what was he whispering in Lundqvist's ear? "I will help you find a real goaltending coach who can speak English if you are interested in purchasing a 10 million appartment in Manhattan" or "thanks, I couldn't wait to go on vacation" or "hang with me kid and I'll make a great golfer out of you"

msg4ever, you can leave this place 4ever and nobody will mind I am sure. Enjoy your chinese food.

msg4ever.

The ice in pittsburgh is bad? Dude. I've skated at MSG about a half dozen times. That ice is NEVER good. I've skated in municipal rinks with better ice and I'm not even kidding. The Rangers should of been used to it. The probablem with ice in large arenas has to do with heat outside in the spring and the high intensity arena lights and a lot of other factors. Pitt ice bad. Yes. Dallas, Tampa, Continental, NVMC, Philly and DC all rinks I've skated on, and the ice is just hard to maintain under the conditions of NHL play.

Don't embarrass yourself any further by blaming ice. It's pathetic. Both teams had to deal with it. It probably hurt a fast skating, puck moving team like the Pens more than the Rangers. Just admit that you guys got beaten by a more skilled team. Nothing to be ashamed of. Just swallow your pride and admit it.

Matt you just proved what a clueless JA you are. That is what I was saying. The fact that 3 teams made the playoffs spending less than the Isles supports my previous post. You don't need to use your whole cap to be successful. Leave cap space for late season moves. I mentioned that you only need to use about 2/3 to 3/4 of cap space to ice a good team. I never mentioned the Isles used their cap space wisely in my remarks. That is a seperate issue. Their problems aren't how much they spend, it was questionable moves and not sticking to a plan. My point was that the Rangers spend to the limit without leaving wiggle room to make necessary adjustments.

Your bitterness about the loss today has clouded your ability to process what was said about the cap. Try again tomorrow. I'll give you a mulligan for your last post. That's right. Rangers will be golfing with the Isles and Devs tomorrow. Fitting. See ya on the turn.

The officials aren't too blame for the loss. a 3-0 lead in Game 1 is blown.

Ryan Hollweg takes a stupid penalty after the Rangers tie the game up and then lose. The power play sucks ass. Henrik did not have the best series. Gomez played everything the Devil series. We can go on and on. Offcials suck yes but the Rangers were given power plays also. They did not take advantage of it. So cry about the officials but look in the mirror.

The defensemen let Malkin skate in freely. No one even slammed Maklin. There is no Bueke defensemen back there.Tyutin is still AWOL. I haven't seen him. Rozival can go, He is a weak link. Not physical enough and is not worth the 5 million he wants.

Renney is like Herm Edwards. Nice guy but he won't take this team to the next level. Need a Parcells type hard ass here.

Another moron

Remember me Ranger fans?

I came on this site to comment about a Ranger Flyer game back in November when I was in NY to see the game. I know we Flyer fans have a reputation for a lack of class. Some of the criticism is deserved. However the Ranger fans that talked smack to me on here when the Flyers were in first place seem to still be talking garbage out their traps.

I took my 9 year old niece to her first hockey game at MSG and she was insulted and sworn at by adult Ranger fans for wearing the Orange and Black. Classless.

I couldn't even have a normal conversation on here, and after reading more posts I can see why. I told you guys I'd be back on here if the Flyers faced the Rangers in the playoffs, but your Rangers let me down. So I guess it will be a one and done post for me. So I'll have the last word since your team is done.

You and your whole organization are classless losers. Have fun golfing with the Islanders and Devils.

Our Rangers got beat by a better more talented team-simple as that. Sather will get a bruising D and I am sure Campbell will get an offer to Captain our PP. As far as all you icelander fans, you have no class whatsoever, and your team and organization stinks and is a pure example of Micky Mouse...or is that the Gortman's Fisherman...LOL.....icelander fans are just stupid and jealous that my NYR have owned and will ALWAYS own NY Metro Hockey-deal with that! Also, you should know that it is a total embarrassment that you don't support your team and that you only show up when the team is doing ok....what a joke!.....and what a joke that it sounds like MSG at the Nassau Coliseum whenever the NYR play your loser isclanders....why is that?...and why is that in NJ as well?...answer: NYR fans suppoet their team yous guys don't-hence we are better fans, better team and far, far, far superior arena in Madison Square Garden. So as we get better, you trade your 1st rd draft choices..LMAO....isles fans + dev. fans= losers all the way!

Paper Champs ! Another disappointing season is finally over for this pathetic joke of a franchise. Who didn't know this would happen. Same, same, same. Every year another disapointing end.
"We have more fans" Our building is better" Good, more of you fools to laugh at. What a shame NYC is left with this franchise to represent it. NY deserves better. But there is hope. Look east to that shining beacon just over the horizon on Long Island. A few short years from now another dynasty will be in full bloom. The Wang dynasty will cast a shadow over this Dolan disaster and NY can once again be known as America's Hockey Team.

The NY Rangers will ALWAYS OWN NY METRO HOCKEY...the icelanders are a joke as is their fans...they will never ever be a winning franchise...garth Snow as your GM?...what are you kidding me?.....trading all your 1st round draft picks are YOUR lovley franchise has nadah to show for it!.....and you THINK your franchise is going to be ashining beacon?...ROFLOLOMA!!!!!!!!!!!!...you sound just like a loser your icelanders are.....the only thing disapointing for me is that I live on LI amongst a bunch of non supporting icelander fans that jump on the bandwagon when your micky mouse team pulls a 5 game winning streak, then when they start losing again (something that has been happening for years now), ya jump off....what kind of fans are you-that is so embarrassing! We made the playoffs for the 3rd straight year and all your icelanders did was hang out at the local golf course 19th hole watching our Rangers play in the playoffs....we're on the upswing and your pathetic icelanders do noting to improve-nadah!

"It's so intense, you're right there, one game to three and it's gone. It's just empty, your head is empty, Avery's spleen is empty" said a weeping Henrik Lundqvist, who couldn't react quickly enough to Marian Hossa's low shot at 7:10 of overtime that gave the Penguins a 3-2 victory and finished the Rangers' pathetic season. "You work so hard starting July 1'st last summer, and suddenly it's over."

Big F^&*%$# Deal-The Icelanders season before training camp last year and the year b4 that and the year b4 that etc. etc.....and we finished the Devs. off pretty quickly too. The icelanders work hard at 1 thing: trading their 1st rd draft picks and getting nutt'n in return-what a pathetic joke ya know!!!!!!

I mispoke.

how exactly is calling someone an icelander supposed to be an insult? I don't get it. And why does everyone chant potvin sucks still? He doesn't even play the game anymore.

Hey, Ron Duguay, the face of the Rangers here.

I’m reporting from a quiet MSG and nothing going on. Can I go home yet?

Power Play Goals/Power Play Opportunities

Rangers 3/25
Penguins 5/22

Power Play Goals/Power Play Opportunities

Rangers 3/25
Penguins 5/24

Ummm... I'm a lifelong Islander fan here.... since 1975 season.

The overtime goal scored by Hossa was offsides wasn't it...?

Crosby is carrying the puck... flips it to the left wing... and the winger is clearly over the blue line before the puck... and not a single mention of it by any broadcaster???

Seeing it on live tv it looked clearly offsides... and my brother (huge Ranger fan) and I both at the same time as the play is developing and before the goal scored both yelled... "offsides!"

I've watched the play several times in high def DVR slow motion.... and it clearly looks offsides.

Any thoughts???

DOC

wow I am watching the awesome Stars-Sharks OT and these teams are huge and physical. If we even think of going for the Cup we really need to beef up. Our team is just too small and too soft.

doc, my thought is we need a coaching staff that has the guts and brains to point these things out to the refs.

Even though we lost, at least we've got this:

http://music.barnesandnoble.com/search/mediaplayer.asp?ean=791558440720&disc=1&t
rack=20

bigger, stronger, faster, tougher and smarter we need to be....I look fwd. to some positive changes next year...a big bruising D, campbell leading our PP and the tremendous decrease in the parade of penalities...we'll be fine and feel Sather will do the right thing for our Rangers.

Campbell is overrated. I want Staal on the PP as well as Sanguinetti who I think got enough AHL experience to play in NHL. He will be well over 20 and played 23 AHL games including 12 payoff games.

Also without Shanahan, Jagr, Straka, and Rozsival our PP should be much better by default. It would be more simple, more straightforward and more effective.

And if Sanguinetti is not ready defensively/physically, then Girardi, Staal, Tyutin, Baranka will have to do for now. As long as we have players with energy and ability to hit the net and go to the net the PP will be better than the one Jagr is preaching.

wow, no way do I want that puke Brian Campbell, he just proved me right, he sucks. Which means Sather will be all over Campbell he got all the things Sather looks for in a player: overrated--check
Poti factor--check
soft--check
undersized--check
takes terrible dumb penalties--check

Morrow with 19 hits in one game. That is like 3 full seasons for Jagr.

Orpik hits more and is a year younger. But I think I rather go with Mike Commodore than Orpik because he would give us more leadership and experience on defense and has more size and wouldn't cost a lot more.

I wasn't paying much of attention to Malone. How good a skater is he? Is he slow? Any weaknesses in his game? Is he good defensively?

Problem is he is originally from Pittsburgh, so I doubt he will leave unless somebody really overpays.

offer Commodore 3 year 12 mil and Malone 3 year 14 mil and if they sign that should conclude the UFA portion of our offseason.

>>>>>>My point was that the Rangers spend to the limit without leaving wiggle room to make necessary adjustments.

You realize that if you trade for a player making, say 5 million, at the deadline, the entire salary does not count against the cap, just the amount that you owe the player? You do realize that? The Rangers had wiggle room, they chose not to make a big move, other than Christain Backman. With that said, they had discussions with Tampe reagrding Dan Boyle.

Pittsburgh is on the hook for about 1.2 million against the cap for the 6 million dollar man Hossa.

Get a clue dude. The Rangers could have traded for any player in the league, they just chose not to.

You're entire post made no sense because you clearly do not understand the cap. Yeah, only use 2/3 of the cap. You realize there is a floor, don't you? Duh!

If you are going to lecture about the Cap. Understand how it works.

#1 - The Cap is prorated. Players are only paid during the regular season (unless there is deferred payments). If you are just under the cap. $1M + doesn't help you get under the cap. A team can be accountable for as much as 1/4 of a player's salary (20 games). The Rangers would of had to trade a player making $$ to squeeze inside the cap. Watching NHL Net on deadline day eve they were talking about how the Rangers had limited options due to their cap density.

Cap density as was explained by the commentator is how much of the cap is available above the floor.

This is a pointless conversation since the Rags didn't make any moves and LOST again for the 67th time in 68 years. PATHETIC.

The only reason the Rangers still exist is ONE Reason!! NYC Business. Otherwise they'd of gone the way of the Cleveland Barons decades ago.

#2- The Rangers could of squeezed in Hossa. Maybe I think his salary was $7M. Rags had somewhere about a touch above $1.5M if I recall.

#3 - Math 101. 2/3 of the cap is still above the floor JA.
Besides. I when I said 2/3 of the cap I was explaining that you can STILL ice a good TEAM that can compete at 2/3 of the cap. That is all JO. Now. Go to the NHL store and buy a clue. They may even have a student discount.

I think what kills me is that Sather choose to get a soft piece of crap Backman then a tough d man in Gill. He could have played with Staal and been our #1 pair. Tyutin and Girardi are a #2 at best. Girardi is a 5th dman.

In the playoffs you need grit not soft euro crap. Where Sjostorm? I did not see him either. I saw Jagr, Drury, Dubs, Straka, Callahan. Sather hasn't won crap in 20 years.I have no confidence in him.

And when Jagr leaves who is going to replace him? There isn't a first line winger in the Rangers system to replace Jagr.

It's impossible to please everyone here.

If the Rangers had traded a 2nd and a 5th round pick for Hal Gill, 90% of us would have ripped Sather apart.

If the Rangers had traded Cherepanov, this year's #1 and another player for Marian Hossa, 99% of people would have ripped Sather apart.

about 50% of people wanted the Rangers to become sellers at the deadline.

They gave the Penguins a nice battle and the officiating kept us from preparing for game 6 tonight.

There were 4 officials on the ice yesterday, that is 8 eyes total, and none of them saw Chris Drury bleeding all over the ice.

Stevie Wonder could have called that penalty.

And then the same play happens against Drury and it leaves us a man short the first 3 minutes of overtime. They used all their energy killing that off, then the Penguins get an offside overtime goal.

Even a great fiction writer couldn't make this stuff up.

We should be playing tonight.

JAmes you have and always will own the Isles ??????

Ummmmm were you alive in the 80's ??

How about the fact that although you have more talent the Isles OWN YOU in the regular season and DP always outplays Queen Lundy.

Enjoy the demise. Your team is pathetic. Nice cup run!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Cherapanov sucks.... I would have had no problem trading him.

Good season though. The series could have gone either way. Every game was so tight.

Only complaint is that Backman even dressed for any game.

Busey,

how could you possibly know whether Cherepanov sucks or not?

You would have been willing to trade him, our #1 this year and another player to rent Hossa?

Officiating sucked, and perhaps missed some calls. But Rangers took more than enough penalties. Rosival had 3 alone in one shift!

Rangers power play, with a month to go left in the reg. season, never improved. And it showed last night (or all series). The difference between Malkin ripping slappers from the top of the slot on the PP and Mara / Shanny / whoever ripping slappers off net on PP is one of many factors in dictating a series winner.

Renny, although a sound coach, was too much of a players coach when it came to pentaly taking. I cant remember how many pre game interviews with Shanny throughout the playoffs where he said "we gotta stay out fomthe penalty box".

I was sick to my stomach to see how many shots were passed up last night, mainly by none other than Stratka. Good riddence.

Re-sign Avery (3 yrs, 12m). Re sign Jagr. (not for long term, but short term, incentive deal). If Jagr doesnt come back, perhaps look to Shanny for one year.

Rangers have to trade the Prucha to fill a spot with Sjostrom and Betts on 4th line.

Above all, Rangers need to catch 2-3 solid defensemen. Orpick is solid, Redden is looking out of Ottawa. Campbell wont come to NY, instead resign with Sharks. But look to the west teams for bigger, stronger guys.

Overall, a disappointing season, but one I was glad to follow and proud of how they played. PIT is a very strong and offensivly sound team

And the 3-0 lead turned 5-4 loss in Game 1 certainly didn't help start the serie sin Rangers favor. That my friends was the turning point of the series and eventual Rangers downfall.
