gomez for captain - he's got more rings than drury and was an instrumental cog in all of new jersey's championships, drury wasn't for colorado

I like the idea of Drury and Gomez co-captaining. Even better I like the idea of them talking it over amongst themselves and deciding what would work best since I think they are both quite capable.

Drury wasn't "an instumental cog" to the Avalanche Cup winning team in 1991?
He was second on the team in goals scored with 11 during the playoff run, many of them game winners. 11 goals in 23 playoff games.
Sometimes, the lack of hockey knowledge that festers here is pathetic.
Please. None of this co-captain garbage. Pick one or the other. Because this team is lacking in clear cut leadership, Drury would be the obvious favorite to be captain. I would prefer someone who can utter more than mono-syllabic cliches, and politically correct verbiage.

Here is how I look at it...I think Gomez is a better leader overall....it seemed to when he picked up his game, so did the rest of the team.....so I look at it this way:
C- Gomez
A- Drury
A- Redden
A-Naslund
Yup, 3 Assistant Captains....why not?...where is it written you can only have 2?????????????????????????

Rich - a team can have a "c" and 2 alternates for a given game. they could switch who wears the "A" in a given game. But they can not have 3 A's unless they have no Captain for that game.
