Michal Rozsival, who has made no bones about his desire to remain in New York, re-ups; those who cover the team all had a feeling this was coming.
His agent, Ritch Winter, said Rozsival, who had a terrific start to last season before it dissolved, would completely recover from the minor hip surgery by this month.
I expect plenty of howls about this one.

All you are going to get from Slats is idiotic moves. He just signed Rosival for 4 years at $20M. Ridiculous!!
rosi isn't worth 1 mil let alone 5 mil. sather is showing just how big of a efffing idiot he is!!!!!!!!!!
How can you give a # 4 defenseman 5 mil per year unbelievable
come on 5 mil a yr r u nuts glen terrible terrible terrible
Steve, you are usually good about keeping track of the $$ amounts. With teh recent signings of Rissmiller / Rozsival.. what kind of cap space do we have left?
~12 million
Rozsival minus Jagr = 60+ points
I would just like to say "I TOLD YOU SO" to all the people here who gave me a hard time about my opinion of Sather. He just slam dunked my point all along. The guy is a joke and now the Rangers are too. Pathetic!
Well at least somebody was paying attention and decided to add some big rugged forwards. I hope it is the end of Betts and Hollweg. And Orr is now either 13/14th forward or gone as well.
But Rozsival for 4 years and for 20 million is stupid especially after just having a surgery.
But honestly I am happy with Rozsival I always liked him and it means we won't be signing any of those soft defensemen like Hainsay or Streit. Rozsival hits, gets hit, if he is healthy he is a very good player and if Jagr is not here to ruin the PP Rozsival will shoot more.
Thanks Lynkx, much appreciated
bob all of a sudden your a rosi fan? He isn't worth 1 mil this deal proves sather and you are idiots
4 years of shouting shooooooooooot
You guys should visit Habs inside/out..You think Slats is bad, we have a new name for Gainey..."Chief Sitting Still".
Not all of a sudden, I liked him as a Ranger, but he does make many mistakes at times, but almost every defenseman does. Rozsival is ok with me, just don't overplay him to the point that he wears down and he will be more effective.
I cringed as soon as I saw that Campbell signed with Chicago, not because the Rangers didn't get him but because I knew that Rozy re-signing was on the way, and most likely for a stupid amount of money and length. Sure enough, an hour later, Rozy was back and for an INSANE deal. Streit would have been a much better option than Rozsival and I find it hard to believe that if offered that same deal, or maybe even less he wouldn't have signed with the Rangers over the Islanders. Bad move Slats, bad move.
