The First Biggie: Brian Campbell to Windy City

The former Sabres-Sharks D signs an eight-year, $56-million deal with the Hawks...Rozsival, Streit, Redden, Orpik still out there for Rangers, with my money on the first two... I don't buy the McCabe rumors. Sather is apparently looking for bargains

Hey Steve,

Are the Rangers still in on trying to get Brooks Orpik? We really, really need a physical presence on D. Also, are the Rangers still players in the Brian Rolston sweepstakes? How about signing Michael Ryder as well? Any inklings?

Thanks for your hard work...

Nick

Columbus signs UFA defenceman Mike Commodore to a 5 yea deal worth $18.75 million -- TSN

I am soooo disappointed we didn't get the one player I wanted: Campbell!...I knew he was gonna go for a lot of greenbacks, but this guy just won the lottery in the Windy City....Commodore is gone now?...what is Sather doing in Manhattan?????? sitting in the Garden watching the Knicks work out the new Italian guy?...and thank you Steve & co. for all the updates!

I Dont Want Rosy Back He Stinks!!!

THE NEW JERSEY DEVILS ARE REPORTEDLY ON THE VERGE OF SIGNING BRIAN ROLSTON TO A FIVE-YEAR, $20 MILLION CONTRACT.

TSN now confirms Rolston to NJ:

Roc, Roszival was playing with an injury that hampered his shot, which is why he pretty much stopped scoring goals in January. Give the guy a break.

New York Rangers sign UFA forward Patrick Rissmiller to an undisclosed deal

another guy with size, but not very helpful seriously

we sign rismiller?

Amidst a poor team-wide performance agains the Flyers in this year's playoffs, (y'know, the team with a ROOKIE GM that went from nowhere to beyond anywhere the Rangers have been since Sather started working here part-time), Streit stood out among the Habs for his awfulness.
Y'saw the first round of severe cap limits when nothing of much impact happened at the trade deadline, and the Pens got Hossa. You're seeing round two now, all you who wre so giddy at the signing of two B+ centers last year this time to A-plus contracts, and ignored the warnings of bad things to come...

I would just like to say "I TOLD YOU SO" to all the people here who gave me a hard time about my opinion of Sather. He just slam dunked my point all along. The guy is a joke and now the Rangers are too. Pathetic!
