Tyutin, Backman to Blue Jackets?

According to TSN, the Rangers will receive Nikolai Zherdev and Dan Fritsche as part of the package, with Fedor Tyutin and Christian Backman and perhaps more headed to Columbus.
Trying to confirm...

on spector's site as well. now there's a deal i can support.

As much as I dislike losing Tyutin, if it means we are going to sign Orpik, I will be a very happy camper.

I hope this means that Orpik is soon to sign.

Solid trade for some scoring on the Right wing with Zherdev, but I hate to see Toots go. Oh well, Russian for Russian I suppose. And thank god Backman has left the building.

great deal!!..thanks glen for saving a little face after the debacle of avery's departure.

all the backman haters can rejoice!

do we have room to sign orpik now?..if we can get him that would make my year, i love that guy.

Yea, I'll miss Toots too. I always liked him and his play, albeit inconsistent at times. Let's hope he learns to hit the net a little more in the Western Conference.

Orpik back to the Pens for 22.5m/6years, TSN.ca reporting.
