Jagr on Cherepanov

Jaromir Jagr and Alexei Cherepanov had just finished a shift in Omsk on Monday night, had a 2 on 1 and didn't score and were talking on the bench when the 19-year-old collapsed, according to Rangers executive John Rosasco.
Jagr said the doctors were good and that there didn't appear to be an issue with the medical treatment, except for the ambulance's late arrival, Rosasco said.

very very sad on his death. I’m sure the younger players especially the Russians in Hartford are getting hit real bad over this one. as a fan and human I feel this loss quite a bit considering I never met him. May God bless him and watch over his family.

I am so sorry. It is an absolute tragedy that goes far, far beyond teams and rivalries. I know most Rangers fans never met him or saw him play, yet I can imagine how closely they followed his young, promising career. I know how that is. It must be kind of like losing a friend- one that you havent actually met yet, but that you knew you would get to know much better soon.

Im so sorry... for him, his family, his teammates, his friends, and also for Rangers fans- admirers that looked to him with hope and promise for the near future. This truly is a great loss. :(

very well said (TheMetalChick)

I pray for you and your family Alexei.

God Bless
