I swear after the trade I read a post from a Leaf fan, thrilled to get Hollweg, believing that he is captain material.
He is AHL material, always was, always will be.
How long until the league gets fed up with him and just kicks him out completely?
Hollweg gets automatic 3 game suspension for this.
He will be suspended for the rangers-leafs tilt at MSG on friday.
Zip, any news on Cherepanov? The message boards are going mad with rumors that his heart stopped after returning to the bench following a collision with a teammate, possibly Jagr?!? He was supposedly rushed to the hospital. Can you work your sources to verify/confirm anything? Please follow-up with some info and God speed, Cherry!
Funny how Fletcher was interested in this guy. I'm pretty sure Ron Wilson isn't so enamoured of him. He won't get any more chances after the Leafs turf him, I suspect.
Stupidity and stubbornness are a lousy combination.
He just came off a suspension, and does it again! Shouldn't he be getting a 5 game suspension at this point? He'll be playing in that Russian Super League next year, if someone doesn't take his head off this season.

the ambulance that is normally at the games in Russia left early and they had to wait 20 minutes for it to come back after he collapsed.
I am shocked. What an awful awful tragedy. I'm praying for Alexei and his family.

It is unbelievably tragic to lose not only such a promising hockey talent, but a young man, at 19 years old.
My condolences go out to those who know the man, and are affected by this tragedy.
I might not be a Rangers fan, but this is a tragedy. The kid was only 19. Had his whole life to look forward too.

OMG this is so shocking and sad R.I.P. Alexei life really sucks sometimes and isnt fair. Its not fair how a young player with so much talent and a lot going for him in his life gets taken from this world meanwhile we have lowlife scumbags and gangbangers who kill and rob people still living.
been seeing reports on other sites as to the possible cause...this is so heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and teammates. It's so sad to have lost such a boundless talent so young.

This is such a sad day, not just for our team and organization, but most of all, the Cherepanov Family. I will watch this game tonight and many more with a heavy heart. My condolences go out the Cherepanov Family. Life is so precious, this is such a shame!
