The announcer has announced and the fighters are set to fight. So here we go...
First fight up -- Alex Schoenauer vs. Brendan Barrett at Light heavyweight
Barrett came out with a shot and took down Schoenauer, who kept looking for submissions off his back. Schoenauer was almost out on his feet for a second, but the round ended with Schoenauer attempting an ankle lock.
To the second round.
Not as exciting as the first round, but Schoenauer has definitely turned it up. Barrett looks tired.
Third round -- Both these fighters are visibly exhausted. They're trading standing up. Barrett, who is cut under his left eye now, is not looking for that takedown anymore. Just when I wrote that, he shot for it and got it, but got caught in an arm-in guillotine choke. The round ended in Schoenauer's guard. Tough one to call...
Split decision victory for Schoenauer. I wouldn't have been surprised if it went either way.
