This should be intereresting. Two Canadian fighters. Where will the crowd's loyalty land? So far by the introductions it's MacDonald.
I don't know how MacDonald has a shoulder left right now.
After a failed guillotine choke by MacDonald, Doerksen passed his guard, earned side control and pulled off a NASTY kimura (shoulder lock). MacDonald's left arm was bent completely under himself for at least a minute.
Second round: What a comeback. MacDonald got side control and elbowed Doerksen until Referee Steve Mazzagatti jumped in -- or appeared to jump in. There was a misunderstanding as MacDonald relented on his attack when Mazzagatti got close to the fighters. When MacDonald saw that Mazzagatti wasn't stopping the fighter, he landed a few more punches for the stoppage win.
