HOUSTON -- WWE Chairman Vince McMahon was injured in a freak accident in San Antonio Monday night.
Just moments after giving away $500,000 in “McMahon’s Million Dollar Mania,” McMahon was crushed by a large electric sign that fell from the AT&T Center.
The extent of his injuries was unclear, but he was rushed to the hospital.
WrestleMania officials planned to update fans on McMahon’s condition at a press conference in Houston Tuesday.
WWE stars were scheduled to be on hand at the Toyota Center before filming SmackDown and ECW at the arena.

As opposed to the millions of others that were supposed to assume that something that featured heavily on camera on a scripted wrestling show was actually real?
The sad thing is, the people at WWE used to think it was a huge win if they got pickup in any small, bumble-*** news outlet, even if it was just one. "Hey, we're mainsteam again!" That's why the biggest disappointment to them about Katie Vick was that no one even cared.
Come on now, fellas... let's just wait to hear what the Wrestlemania officials have to say.
So this T station actually thought that crap was real.
AAAAAAAHH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
wow.
And to think that This city is getting WRESTLE-FRIGGIN-MANIA 25! God help us. Maybe at Wrestlemania, They will arrest HHH and whoever he wrestles in the Main Event for fighting.
Hey guys...as you know I am regular here and wanted to say that I love your site. If you have time check out a new site that some wrestling fans like yourself are working on called "The Cheap Shot". It is not the usual "wrestling news" site. They do a live radio show from time to time and blog about all types of things like past wrestling gimmicks, best feuds in wrestling history, worst characters of all time and occasionally touch upon breaking news.
It is more of a discussion about something we all grew up on and love to watch, even when it sucks, and thats pro wrestling. They also cover MMA from time to time. The site is being revamped and is still under construction, but it has my new column talking about of course the draft. It also has nine archived episodes of their radio show online now. Save it as a favorite and check it out from time to time for new updates. I will still post here though since I love your columns and discussions. Thanks guys!

All they would have got was a press release sent by WWE to real outlets. What are they supposed to think? It's their fault for not following it up but essentially WWE are gaming the media which is wrong and dangerous.
Wait...you mean that was FAKE!?!
You cynical internet wrestling fans disgust me. I haven't been this upset since Dawn Marie killed that poor old man on their honeymoon. Or since that time Vince died. Or that time Val Venis almost got his pee-pee chopped off. Have a HEART!
Any news station that takes anything on a wrestling show seriously without following up deserves to be ridiculed. How dumb can you get? Did they think the draft was really random too?
