At least they're not putting the world title on Prinze, ala Vince Russo. While Prinze's star may have faded a bit in recent years, he certainly has been involved in enough high-level Hollywood productions to be able to contribute something to WWE. I'd rather WWE go the route of hiring a legitimate player in the showbiz industry, like Prinze, than one of the many Hollywood wannabes that have been brought on board over the years. Either way, I can't imagine Prinze is actually going to be sitting at creative meetings or anything like that.
Who knows? Putting his "Scooby Doo" background to use, perhaps Prinze's first idea will be to have Mike Adamle remove his mask to unveil a competent television performer. "I could have continued doing play-by-play on ECW if it wasn't for you meddling kids!"

I actually think it's kind of cool. By all accounts he's just a fan like us, and like many of us he probably has some good ideas to contribute. The difference is that as a movie star he's got the opportunity to go after a creative job like this. I'm not saying he should be head booker or anything, but I bet he could bring something good to the table, not from an actor's perspective, but of a fan's perspective.

I was wondering why he was one the fan nation thing when I checked it out last week. I bet it could add some more Spark to the product. Or he could kill it. Ether or.
I think this could be like WCW and David Arcett. Only they won't throw him into a main story line let alone toss the title on him.

Can we please negate the automatic hostility that seems to come when WWE does something unexpected.
First he's an unknown quantity, who knows maybe wrestling is a passion for him and he's spent a tremendous amount of time working out angles etc in his spare time.
Second, He's a fan so he at least will be familiar with the history of the performers and the product. As well as know what we've seen a million times before
Third, he's not going to instantly make a huge splash here, Vince is still in charge. At the end of the day, Vince is still the boss.
So have some patience and who knows maybe he'll help make CM Punk a much stronger champ. I know I'd support that :)

With his fondness for Beth Phoenix maybe there'll be even bigger and better things planned for her.
Hopeful he will bring some order to the writing team, like writing long term angles again.
