Kerry Collins gets Titans into playoffs; Happy New Year!

collins.jpgEarly in Sunday night's Titans-Colts game, I was passing the time working through a stack of the Best family's annual New Year's cards/letters.

On Kerry Collins' letter I wrote that I was watching the game and wished his team luck getting into the playoffs.

Two hours later, he was being interviewed by Andrea Kremer on national TV.

Which was a reminder of the great old quote attributed to Joaquin Andujar: "There is one word in America that says it all, and that word is, 'You never know.'"

I guess I'll write Kerry a new card today.

Staple e-mailed during last night's Titans game to ask how long it would be before you blogged a Christmas card item about Kerry Collins.

I took the under.

The Giants were fine with Collins at quarterback. There was no need for that Eli trade. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

As Joe Beningo on WFAN often says "The next great QB to come out of Penn State will be the first".

To be fair, I ALSO thought the Giants were fine with Collins at QB and not making the Eli trade from the moment it happened. Problem is I lose credibilty b/c I wanted them to take Robert Galloway at #4 instead....So what do I know?

And what are you going to write in my Christmas card? How about a little neutrality here?

Since I heard Collins is 1-6 v. Chargers, I fear the overdueness and the playoff history of my team.

I agree with you Vryan Mayer. I loved Kerry Collins and thought to rebuild at the time that Tiki and the defense were in their prime was a mistake. But I too wanted the OL who seems to be a bust.
