Warner Wolf is back on WABC and back with Imus

wolf2.jpgOK, I think I now understand this Warner Wolf situation, a story I broke late Saturday night, then partially unbroke Sunday morning, then turned out to be right about in the first place.

Warner is doing sports updates on both ESPN 1050 and Imus' new show on WABC, whose studios are quite close to each other on Seventh Avenue.

Tony Powell, who was hired to do sports on the Imus show, still is a member of the cast but apparently now will concentrate on his specialty, which is comedy, rather than sports, with which he never did seem fully comfortable.

Sorry Imus supporters, but I have not been listening much to the show because I have two all-sports stations to deal with. But Warner is a sports guy, so I got dragged back into Mr. Imus' saga once again for old times' sake.

Carry on.

At what point should I send the I-Man my cell number?

Awesome Neil! Keep breaking the big story....

At what point do I send the I-Man my new cell number?

Maybe I should send him mine.

It was revealed by Jim Nantz today that Imus' cell number has two separate 41s in it.

They were talking about Bush 41, that is why it came up.

Apparently the former president, through Nantz has invited the I-cast up to Kennebunk for a boat ride.

Anyone who listened, did Warner bring up anything concerning what happened to Imus over on WFAN/MSNBC and the Rutgers deal?

I wonder if he did so ever on Curtis and Kuby.

He never talked about it on his ESPN Radio show, the one chance he actually had, a caller asked him point blank about it, he actually completely stepped over the caller to discuss a point a previous caller had made about the term "walk off."

COME ON WARNER GIVE ME A BREAK!

Neil

Obviously your supposed to cover Imus. Imus was speaking of being invited on a boat ride, I believe President George Herbert Walker Bush, has a cigarette boat. Imus said no way, I am getting on a little boat. I thought I heard Imus say, George H W Bush or 41 was in Houston. I was under the opinion this is where they would "joy ride"

They were talking about Maine, Nantz said it would have to happen in the summer. Imus doesn't want to go on the boat but Nantz said Charles, Bernard and the gang was still invited.

Steve, I don't think there was much mention from Warner about the past nor would I expect there to be.

Steve Rogers,

Imus keeps telling folks he has on to move on he doesn't want to discuss his firing anymore. Warner might have been honoring Imus's request.

How can he do both Neil?

I guess I should ask him that!

Oh I know that, but the incident I was referring to happened during his first show after the whole controversy. Just about every other talk show host out there weighed in on the matter, one would think Wolf would have thrown in his two cents.
