I tried to manufacture juicy comments by prodding baseball fans to counter my argument that hockey is better - but most ended up being from hockey fans who agreed with me.
Instead our big winner is sharp-eyed Bernie Flashberg for his comment (click below to read it) correcting my Sopranos trivia in this item, which I shared only after checking it out with a usually reliable source. Sigh.
Turns out Dan Grimaldi is not the only actor to play two parts. So did Joseph Gannascoli, an avid Giants fan who during the squad's playoff run dyed his dog blue.
Here's Bernie:
You state that Dan Grimaldi was the only actor to play two characters- the Parisi twins- on "The Sopranos". Not so. Joseph Gannascoli, best known as Vito Spatafore, had a different minor role early (1999) in the show. He was Gino, a customer in a bakery who gets caught in the middle of a dispute that Christopher (Michael Imperioli) has with the bakery clerk. Christopher shoots the clerk, a takeoff of the scene in which the Imperioli character in "Goodfellas" is shot by Joe Pesci.

Twin sisters Jeannie and Joan Cusamano were played by the same actress. One was Carmelas next door neighbor, her sister was the one Carmela made a Manicotti pie for as a bribe to get her to write a letter for Meadow to get into Georgetown

OMG. Thank you, Dennis. I am embarrassed and chastened, and will severely reprimand my HBO sources, darn it.
