Benigno on WFAN, Yale on YES, WatchDog on break
That's all for me for the week, my friends. All signs continue to point to Joe Benigno as the leading candidate to join Mike Francesa's new WFAN lineup, but still nothing official that I have heard.
So I will get on with my life for now. And so should you.
Enjoy Penn at Yale at 12:30 p.m. Saturday on YES, the first of three consecutive Yale games on the nation's most-viewed regional sports network . . . none against Cornell, as the Big Red already has beaten the Elis this season.

Since Yale's teams are know as the "Elis," I suggest Cornell change it's name to the "Ezras."
I can hear it now...a boisterous, besotted, bespectacled, standing-room-only crowd at "The Crescent" lustily cheering on their gridiron gods with chants of "Here We Go Ezras, Here We Go!"
In a related note, if Andrew Dickson White (who coincidentally graduated from Yale) had been more prominent than our co-founder, maybe the school's teams would be known today as the "Big White."
