what a bad April Fool's joke.
Well, some other articles I saw said that Cablevision has no plans to SELL it, but a spin-off isn't out of the question.
Or, they could hold on to MSG (the "fun stuff"), and sell off the Cable TV portion to Time Warner or Comcast, as many have speculated.
If Cablevision sells to Comcast - that would give the Roberts empire some prime New York territory and make things interesting. Versus could move from channel 8285943 to channel 8. SNY could become CSN. And we still wouldn't get NFL Network.
Hello NY/LI....get ready to change your favorite places (online bill paying) to Comcast.
It's comin'
(at least you'll get Versus and post season hockey)
I wonder how Comcast will explain that your Internet access is going from "Optimum" to just "High-Speed". Sounds like a downgrade to me.
(Yes, that's a subtle compliment to the CVC marketing folks).
