Mets offer discount ducats for big tilts with Phillies
Got an interesting email from an interesting reader the other day alerting me the Mets were offering discounts on certain tickets for this week's series against the Phillies.
The Phillies?! Shouldn't this be one of the toughest tickets of the season? Well, as you know, times have changed.
Thus, subscribers to the Flushing Flash newsletter were offered substantial reductions off the gold level pricing for Philadelphia's visit.
Likes seats in the Metropolitan Box, from $180 down to $125. And the Field Box, from $150 down to $100. And the Caesars Club Bronze, from $138 down to $95. And the Baseline Box, from $90 down to $60.
Intrigued by the notion of Mets-Phillies tickets being discounted - Mets-Phillies! - I asked the Mets about this.
Click below for the statement they gave me.

"As in previous years, we continue to provide special offers for single game tickets to select games. The offer extends to members of Club Mets, Flushing Flash and certain other customer lists.
"We have sold more than 2.6 million tickets with our Season Ticket and Plan sales are up 8 percent over last year. Through our first 26 games, we are averaging 39,017 tickets sold per game, which translates to 93.34 percent of our 41,800 seats. Last year through the first 26 games at Shea Stadium, we averaged 49,752 tickets sold per game, or 86.73 percent of Shea's 57,365 seats."
Fair enough, but . . . that's still more than 10,000 fewer fans per game. That's a lot, no?

Amazing how much this guy spins. If you asked him last year, he would have told you that every game would be completely sold out. So the fact that only 93% of the place is sold is a disappointment, and your point, Neil, is a good one.
Are they (and the Yankees) generating more revenue with higher prices despite fewer seats?
Could you help me. I feel like a tiny bird with a big song! Help me! I find sites on the topic: Distance associate degree engineering. I found only this - general associate degree. Many students have discovered that they can actually add to their savings while working and earning their associate degree. Since associate degrees are normally for two years, it allows graduates to enter the work force faster and as a result start earning faster. With respect , Harith from Kiribati.
