Tiger Woods teeters on brink; Tom Watson still leads!

Tom Watson just tied for the second-round lead at the Open!

But Tiger Woods is in severe danger of missing the cut.

From what I have learned about the TV business over the past four years, I believe it's fair to say it would not be good for the weekend ratings if Mr. Woods does not qualify.

(UPDATE: Ciao, Tigre.)

I think having Watson in the hunt can ease some of the uneasiness of ABC/ESPN execs.

Tiger was 11 shots back about 15 minutes ago. I am not happy as Tiger in contention makes it must-see TV for me. Looks like I'll be out picking blueberries instead of watching golf on Sunday morning.

Never mind the gof ratings, do you realize this weekend there is no NA$CAR Sprint Cup weekend, one of four such agonizing weekends
between President's Day and Turkey day? Time for those clowns in washington to forget about such petty affairs as the economy, war in Afghanistan, global hot air and to fix that problem.

At least the IRL will be racing this weekend in Edmonton (second least desired place for NHL players) and that means The Thrill from West hill, Paul Tracy, will be there will his bold overtaking maneuvers and subsequent crashes.
